Guilford College is pleased to offer five National Science Foundation (NSF) Academic Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM). The scholarships will be awarded to high school graduates attending Guilford College starting in the Fall of 2025 who have demonstrated academic excellence, demonstrated financial need, and are planning to major in one of the following programs at Guilford College:
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science (CTIS, Computer Technology Information Systems; CNS Cyber & Network Security)

If I am selected and accept the NSF S-STEM Scholarship, I understand that I agree to:
  • Be a full-time student, enrolled in prescribed courses for the BS degree program in Biology, Chemistry, or Computer Technology & Information Systems at Guilford College
  • Complete degree requirements in 4 years
  • Maintain a cumulative and major GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • Regularly attending all classes
  • Participate in S-STEM activities and events
  • Complete survey and interviews
Based on the above expectations, I recognize that I will receive annual approval from Dr. Chafic BouSaba or faculty mentor to continue as a scholar.

I certify that my answers are true and correct. I understand that my answers are subject to verification with original documents submitted at the time of application to Guilford College and I give permission to the Office of Admissions to share my application information. I also give the Office of Financial Aid permission to release my name and information regarding my eligibility for financial need-based scholarships. I also give permission to the Directors of the NSF S-STEM Program at Guilford College to include my information, academic progress, participation in NSF S-STEM activities as part of their reporting requirements to the National Science Foundation. I understand that this reporting is done in the aggregate and my name will not be in any of the NSF S-STEM yearly reports.
